Large crowds of demonstrators in the southern Pakistani port city of Karachi have held a large rally to protest against the targeted assassination of their fellow Shia Muslims. On Friday, the Shia community in Karachi also held a funeral procession for a citizen who was shot dead by Takfiri terrorists. Arshad Hussein Naqvi and two of his Sunni friends came under attack on Tuesday. His friends died on the spot while Naqvi sustained serious injuries, resulting in his death. Continue reading.

People in the southern Pakistani port city of Karachi have held a rally to protest against deadly attacks targeting Shia Muslims. The protest came after funeral ceremonies for three Shia Muslims who were killed in terrorist attacks in different parts of Pakistan over the past 24 hours. The Shia mourners shouted slogans against the extremist groups behind the killings as well as the government in Islamabad. They blamed foreign-funded Takfiri elements and pro-Taliban groups for the killings and slammed Islamabad for failing to provide security for the Muslim community, saying the government must take decisive action against the forces involved in the targeted killings.
