Grand Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi, Iranian Shia jurisprudent in his weekly Fiq’h class referred to extremist Boko haram group and denied any relation between the Nigerian group and holy Islam.
Top cleric slammed Boko Haram for abducting more than 200 school girls and the threats for selling them only because of their studying at school.
He said these thoughts are only an outcome of Takfiri ideologies and reiterated,” The world should know that these extremists have nothing to do with Islam.”
Iranian senior cleric also highlighted necessity of vigilance against such ignorant illogical groups and noted,” We have to be careful so that these groups do not provide enemies with excuses to propagate against Islam.”
He also warned that Boko Haram is likely to be provoked by enemies of Islam so that their crimes provide enough evidences to misrepresent Islam.
Ayatollah Makarem also referred to some top Sunni figures who have announced their hatred for the crimes committed by Boko Haram denying any relation between these extremist groups and Islam.
