Iranians are celebrating the national Women’s Day to honor the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad’s daughter Hazrat Fatemeh Zahra (PBUH).

Every year, people in Iran commemorate the national Women’s Day and Mother’s Day on the 20th day of the lunar Islamic month of Jamadi al-Thani, which marks the birthday anniversary of Hazrat Fatemeh Zahra.

Hazrat Fatemeh was the wife of Imam Ali (PBUH), the first Imam of Shia Muslims, and is referred to as a role model for all Muslim women.

Many Iranians take the occasion of this holiday to thank and honor their mothers, grandmothers, wives and sisters and to spend more time with them. They pay tribute to them by giving them gifts.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - “Due to Hazrat Zahra’s (SA) mercy, Islamic Republic of Iran has gained progressed in various arenas,” said Head of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought, Ayatollah Mohsen Araki.

Speaking among Araki worshipers, the grand Ayatollah underscored that Hazrat Zahra (SA) anticipated the future of Islamic society.

Based on that, “some groups wrest the control of Islamic Society and plunder their wealth,” Ayatollah Araki quoted the narrations in the area.

The religious cleric urged Muslims to be more aware of the machinations hatched by the enemies, blocking them in their moving forward to fulfill their willful aims and objectives.

In another line of his speech, Head of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought underlined the telling role of Hazrat Kobra in founding the Islamic family and recognizing its place as well.
