Hafiz Abdul Rahim Hails from Bhavani Nagar Police Station, Hyderabad
He completed his early education in Urdu medium. Then, at the age of 12, he completed his Quranic studies. Abdul Rahim has been sharp-minded since childhood, which is why his parents enrolled him first in MS Education Center for religious (Deeni) education. After becoming a Hafiz of the Quran in just two years, Hafiz Abdul Rahim's family became convinced that he could excel in medical science. Subsequently, Hafiz Abdul Rahim began his career as a student in the English medium. He believes that students from every madrasa background should receive English education, whether it be for becoming a doctor, engineer, or at least for admission in B.Sc, B.A, and other skill courses. Being from a madrasa background is advantageous for receiving an English education.
Hafiz Abdul Rahim told Two Circles, "There is a misconception among people that children coming from madrasas cannot perform well in English or science education. This is not true at all. In fact, being a Hafiz of the Quran greatly benefited me in my NEET preparation. I could memorize things very quickly, and then I tried to keep my concepts clear so that I wouldn’t feel too much pressure. However, with the help of coaching, achieving my goals became easier. We competed with other students in our coaching batch and then worked on our weak subjects with the help of the teachers."
The director of MS Junior College, Dr. Gaus, stated in a conversation with Two Circles, "This student serves as a role model for other children. He has clearly demonstrated that students from Urdu medium can perform very well in English and medical education. Students from Urdu medium only face challenges for the first two to three months in medical studies. Once this period is over, they benefit significantly in the future, especially in the NEET examination. Memory plays a substantial role in medical studies, and children who are Hafiz tend to have better memory compared to other students.”
Dr. Gaus praised, saying, "Hafiz Abdul Rahim is not only intelligent but also very punctual. He had a 100 percent attendance record in every class. Additionally, he did not miss a single weekly exam, which greatly benefited him in his NEET preparation. His parents have also played a significant role in this success. I congratulate them."
Hafiz Abdul Rahim expressed his happiness, stating, "Support from family members is very important for succeeding in exams like NEET. Household chores were often assigned to my other siblings so that I could focus on my studies." However, there was no fixed time for my studying.
I took a test every week and solved a model paper every day. This helped me gauge my preparation. For entertainment, I would watch TV and sometimes play PUBG, during which I received full support from my parents.
Abdul Rahim's father spoke to Two Circles, saying, "Hafiz Abdul Rahim has been good at studies since childhood. So, we thought we would first provide him with education in Urdu-Arabic medium and then prepare him for medical studies. Thanks be to Allah, the child's hard work has led to success." Our aim is for him to become a doctor so that he can help the poor. We often see many people unable to get treatment due to lack of money. If Hafiz Abdul Rahim becomes a doctor, I will advise him to start free treatment facilities.
He wishes to specialize in neurology and provide free treatment for the poor.
Rahim wants to specialize in neurology. Neurons are the most complex part of the human body. Studying this is somewhat more difficult than other medical studies. Therefore, Abdul Rahim wishes to study this subject. According to Abdul Rahim, he doesn’t feel inclined toward easy studies. Thus, he tries to engage in difficult studies. Abdul Rahim wishes to pursue further studies at Gandhi Medical College in Hyderabad. He wants to study while staying in the state so that he can be aware of the problems faced by the people of the region.
Abdul Rahim further expressed concern, saying, “There is a shortage of specialist doctors in the old city (Hyderabad), which causes a lot of problems for the people. After becoming a doctor, I will secure my job and initiate facilities for free treatment for the common people.”
