1.  Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)‏: Good manners is half of religion. [Al-Khisal, pg. 30]

 

2.  Prophet, (pbuh): Verily, when the Quran is recited in a house, its goodness increases, its family expands, and it lights up for the people of the sky as the stars of the sky shine for the people of the world. [Kafi, vol. 2, p. 610, vol. 1]

 

3.  Messenger of God (pbuhahf): Desire for a child and go after it; because it is a source of light for the eyes and joy for the heart [Makarim Al-Akhlaq: Part 1, p. 480, H. 1665]

 

4.  Prophet (pbuhahf): Love children and have mercy on them, and if you promise them anything, fulfill it. For they only consider you as their providers. [Kafi, vol. 6, p. 49, h. 3]

 

5. Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)‏ Being friendly towards people is half of faith, and being gentle and kind to them is half of life. [Al-Kafi: 2/117/5]

 

 6.  Prophet (pbuhahf): The earth complains to God, nowhere has she made such noise and lamentation, ( a very severe complaint) about three things: 1- From the forbidden blood that falls on her. 2- And the abolution that is performed after adultery. 3- And on sleeping before sunrise.  7.  Messenger of God (pbuhahf): No father has given his child anything better than good upbringing. [Kanz al-Ummal: 45411]

 

 8.  Imam Ali (pbuh): Anger is an evil, which will destroy you if you obey it. [Ghurar Al-Hikam: 1220]

 

 9.  Imam Ali (pbuh): Beware of anger, for its beginning is madness and its end is regret. [Ghurar Al-Hikam: 2635]

 

 10.  Imam Ali (pbuh): Knowledge is the root of all goodness. Ignorance is the root of all evil. [Ghurar Al-Hikam: 818, 819]

 

 11.  Imam Ali (pbuh): By being generous, blessings continue for a long time. [Ghurar al-Hikam, H. 4344]

18.  Imam Ali (pbuh): Knowledge can only be obtained by five things: the first is by asking a lot of questions, the second is by being involved (in knowledge), the third is by purifying ones actions, the fourth is by serving people, and the fifth is by seeking the help of God, the Glorious.  19.  Messenger of Allah (pbuhahf): Whenever people see an oppressor and do not prevent him from committing a sin, it is likely that Allah will punish them all. [Nahj Al-Fasahah, no. 833]

 

20.  Prophet of God (pbuhahf): Hold yourselves accountable before you are held accountable. Be audited, before you are audited, and prepare for the big audit. [Bihar Al-Anwar: 70/73/26]

 

21.  Messenger of God (pbuhahf): The most just of the people is the one who likes for others what he likes for himself, and dislikes for others what he dislikes for himself. [Al-Amali by Al-Saduq: 72/41]

 

22.  Imam Al-Sadiq (pbuh): I only like to see the young from among you occupied in either of two states: teaching or learning.... [Al-Amali by Al-Tusi: 303/604]

 

 23.  Ibn Abbas said: The Messenger of God (pbuhahf) used to sit on the ground, and eat on the ground, and he would hold sheep in his hands, and he would accept the invitation of a slave to share bread made of barley. [Amali Tusi, part 1, p. 393]

 

24.  Messenger of God (pbuhahf): He who does not thank people does not thank God. [Kitab Man la yahduruh al-faqih, Part 4, p. 380]

29.  Imam al-Kazim (as): Luqman said to his son:...the world is a deep ocean in which many have drowned, so make Godwariness your boat, your bridge should be faith in God, trust in Allah its sail, reason its custodian, knowledge its guide and patience its inhabitants. [al-Kafi Vol 1 P 16]

 

 30.  Imam Ali (pbuh): He who questions when he is young will answer in his adulthood. [Ghurar al-Hikam: H 8273]

 

31.  Imam Ali (pbuh): Certainty is the pinnacle of religion. [Ghurar Al-Hikam: 852]

 

 32.  Imam Ali (pbuh): The hazard of knowledge is not putting it into practice. [Ghurar al-Hikam: 3948]

34.  Messenger of God pbuhahf: Whoever takes stand with the oppressed against the oppressor, will be with me in paradise as a companion. [Bihar Al-Anwar, vol. 75, p. 359, h. 74]

 

 35.  Prophet (pbuhahf): Do you want your heart to become soft and acquire your needs? - have mercy on an orphan, stroke his head and feed him from your food, and your heart will become soft and you will achieve your needs. [Nahj Al-Fasahah, vol. 27]

 

36.  Imam Sadiq, (pbuh): Write; because without writing you won't memorize. [Bihar al-Anwar: 2/153/46]

 

37.  Imam Ali (pbuh): The life of one who is unjust will be cut short. [Ghurar Al-Hikam: 7940]

 

38.  Imam Al-Askari (pbuh): He whose piety is part of his nature, generosity part of his nature, and forbearance his friend; his friends and admiration will increase, and he will overcome his enemies by his self being praised. [Eilam al-Din 314]

 

39.  Imam Al-Kadhim (pbuh): He is not one of us who doesn't audit himslef everyday. Whenever, he (our follower) does a good deed, he seeks God's blessings to do more of it, and thanks God for doing it, and if he does anything bad, he asks ask Allah for repentance and forgiveness. [Al-Ikhtisa? : 26]

 

40.  Imam Sadiq (pbuh): The one who does injustice, the helper, and the one who is satisfied with the injustice, all of the three are partners in oppression. [Al-Kafi: 2/333/16]

 

41.  Prophet of God (pbuhahf): O Abu Dhar, sitting for an hour in the assembly of the knowledgeable to love God is better than reading twelve thousand times the whole Quran. [Bihar Al-Anwar, v. 1, p. 203]

 

 42.  Prophet (pbuhahf): God Almighty is beautiful and loves beauty. He loves to see the effect of His grace on His servant, and He hates poverty. [Kanz al-Ummal: 17166].

 

 43.  Imam Sadiq (pbuh): God Almighty disciplined His Prophet with his love. He said: “And you certainly have a great character.” [AlQalam: 4] . . And God Almighty said: “Whoever obeys the messenger has obeyed Allah.” [An-Nisa: 80]. [Al-Kafi: 1/265/1]

 

44.  Prophet of God (pbuhahf):

O Abu Dhar, sitting for an hour in the assembly of the knowledgeable to love God is better than reading twelve thousand times the whole Quran.

 45.  Imam Ali (pbuh): God's hand is on the congregation, so avoid division, because a single person, becomes a prey for Satan like a lonely sheep that becomes prey for a wolf. [Sharh Nahj al-Balagha, v. 8, p. 112]

 

46.  Messenger of God (pbuhahf): Pursuit of knowledge is an obligation for every Muslim man and woman. [Tanbih al-Khawatir: 2/176]

 

47. The Prophet said: O Abu-Dharr! Attending a scholarly discussion for an hour is more loved by God, the Almighty than a thousand nights of standing in prayer, performing a thousand units of prayer each night. [Bihar al-Anwar, v.1, p.203]

 

48. Imam Ali (AS): 'Three things make love and affection indispensable: good behaviour, good friendship and humbleness.'  [Ghurar al-Hikam, Tradition 5372]

 

 49.  Prophet of God (pbuhahf): My Lord has commanded me to love the poor among Muslims.  [Al-Kafi: vol. 8, p. 8, h. 1]

 

 50.  Imam Ali (pbuh): Walk with your illness as far as it walks with you. [Nahj al-Balagha Book 3, Chapter 27, Saying 27]

 

51.  Imam Ali (pbuh): Allah has laid down iman (belief) for purification from polytheism; salat (prayer) for purification from vanity; zakat (levy) as a means of livelihood. [Nahj al-Balagha: H 252]

 

 52.  Imam Hussain (pbuh): Learning knowledge bears the fruit of enlightnment, and many experiences increase intelligence. [Bihar Al-Anwar: 78/128/11]

 

53.  Imam Askari (pbuh): There are two traits that higher than them there is nothing: Faith in God and benefiting the brothers. [Bihar Al-Anwar /v 78 /p 374]

 

54.  Imam Reza (pbuh): The one who withdraws from [engaging in] an affair but is pleased with it, would be similar to the one who has been present and has done it. [Wasail al-Shia; v. 16; p. 139]

 

55.  The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: Indeed all of you are guardians and all of you are responsible for your subjects. The governor who rules over the people is a guardian and is responsible for his subjects [and will be questioned about them]. ...... Therefore, indeed all of you are guardians and all of you are responsible for your subjects. [Sahih Muslim, v. 3, p. 1459, h. 20]

 57.  Hazrat Fatima (pbuh): Three things of this world fascinate me; reading the Quran looking at the Prophet’s face and alms-giving in the way of Allah. [NahJul-Hayat, H]

 

58.  Hazrat Fatima (pbuh): God imposed. . . enjoining what is right in the interest of people; [Bihar Al-Anwar, v. 6, p. 107]

 

 59.  Hazrat Fatima (pbuh) in response to Imam Hassan (pbuh) who had asked about why you prefer to pray for neighbors and others than yourself? She replied: First prefer neighbors then family. [Ilal al-sharayi v. 1, p. 183]

 

 60.  Prophet (pbuhahf): Whoever kisses his child, God, Almighty writes a reward for him, and whoever makes his child happy, God will make him happy on the Day of Resurrection and when the Quran is taught to the child, the parents will be called [on the Day of Resurrection] dressed in two robes, their faces will shine like the faces of the people of the paradise. [Al-Kafi: 6/49/1]

 

 61.  Imam Sadiq (pbuh): Indeed, extravagance is accompanied by diminishment of blessings. [Wasail al-Shia: v 15, p 261]

 

 62. Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him): Hurry up to teach your children the Hadith [sayings of the Messenger of God and the Imams, pbuth] before the deviants get close to them. [Al-Kafi: vol. 6, p. 47, h. 5

 

63.  Imam Al-Kadhim (pbuh): Whoever's two days are equal, he is a loser, and whoever's today is more evil than yesterday, he has been cursed... [Bihar Al-Anwar: 78/327/5]

 

64.  Imam Sadiq (pbuh): There are three things that by doing them no harm will befall a person: praying at the time of distress, seeking forgiveness at the time of sin and being thankful at the time of blessings. [Usul Kafi, vol. 2, p. 95, no. 7]

 

65. Imam Ali (pbuh): He who does not engage himself in remedying the defects in his soul, his whims will overcome him, and he who [lives] in deficiency, then death is surely better for him. [Al-Saduq: 478/644]

 

 66.  Prophet (pbuhahf): The most beloved deeds to God are those to feed or ward off one's hunger or paying one's debt, or to solve one's problem. [Nahj al-Fasaha, vol. 76]

 

 67.  Imam Ridha (pbuh): Nothing is more beneficial for a faithful servant than having a good wife who is a source of happiness in the presence of him and is a guardian of his honor and property in his absence. [Musnad of Imam Ridha (pbuh) C 2, p. 256]

 

 68.  Prophet Muhammad (PBUH): 'When a man says "I love you" to his wife, she will never forget it.' [Al-Kafi: 5/569/59]

 

 69.  Imam Al-Sadiq (pbuh): Be a scholar, or a learner, or a lover of knowledge, and do not be of the fourth, lest you will perish because of their hatred. [Al-Kafi 1/34/3 On the authority of Abu Hamza al-Thumali]

 

 70.  Imam Al-Sadiq (pbuh): Be summoners for the people [to righteousness] without using your tongues; let them behold from you piety, striving in God’s way, prayers, and good deeds. Indeed, such is the true missionary. [Al-Kafi: vol. 2, p. 78, h. 14]

 

71.  Imam Sadiq (pbuh): ... become an ornament for us, do not be a disgrace for us. [Al-Kafi: 2/219/11]

 

72.  Whenever the Holy Prophet (pbuhahf) used to speak, he would smile while speaking. [Makarim Al-Akhlaq: 1/58/4]

 

73.  Prophet Muhammad (pbuhahf): When the believer commits sin, a black spot appears on his heart. If he repents and gives up that sin and seeks forgiveness, his heart will be polished. But if (the sin) increases, (the black spot) also increases]

 

74.  Imam Al-Sadiq (pbuh): My father (pbuh) used to say: There is nothing more damaging to the heart than a sin. While sinning, the heart struggles to offer resistance until it becomes completely subdued by the sins and turns upside down. [Al-Kafi: 2/268/1]

 

75. Imam Sadiq (pbuh): Whoever holds back his anger, God will cover his faults. [Bihar Al-Anwar: 73/264/11]

 

76.  Imam Al-Sadiq (pbuh): Anger is the key to all evil. [Bihar Al-Anwar: 73/263/4]

 

77.  Prophet Muhammad (pbuhahf): Whoever learns in his adolescence, his learning remains like an engraving written on a stone. [Bihar Anwar: 1/222/6]

 

78.  Imam Baqir (pbuh): When al-Qa’im, (the one who will rise with Divine Authority) the guardian, of our family will appear from occultation, Allah will place His hand over the heads of His servants and, thus, He place their intelligence together and complete their understanding. [Al-Kafi: v 1, p. 56, H. 21]

 

79.  Imam Jawad (pbuh): The one who is aware of oppression, and the one who helps in oppression, and the one who is pleased with it all three are partners. [Musnad of Imam Al-Jawad, p. 247]

 

80.  Messenger of God (pbuhahf): Capture knowledge through writing. [Kanz al-Ummal: 29332]

 

81.  Prophet of God (pbuhahf): When the world becomes big in the eyes of the people of my nation, the glory of Islam will be taken away from them. And whenever enjoining the good and forbidding the evil is left away by them, they will be deprived of the blessings of the revelation (Quran and Hadith). [Kanz al-Ummal: 6070]

 

82.  Imam Ali (pbuh): Perfume yourselves by seeking forgiveness, so that the bad smell of sins does not disgrace you. [Explanation of Nahj al-Balagha, Ibn Abi Al-Hadid, vol. 20, p. 281]

 

83.  Imam Ali (pbuh): Have mercy on others, so that you will also receive mercy. [Al-Amali by Al-Saduq: 278/308]

 

84.  Imam Sadiq (pbuh): A man's prayer for his brother in his absence is a source of plenty of sustenance and wards off harm. [Makarim Al-Akhlaq (Chapter: Supplications) V 1, p 275]

 

85.  Prophet (pbuhahf): Whoever seeks knowledge, God secures the sustenance for him. [Kanz al-Ummal: 28701]

 

86.  Messenger of God (pbuhahf): God is pure and loves purity, God is clean and loves cleanliness. [Mizan Al-Hikma, H 20314]

 

87.  Prophet (pbuhahf): Paradise is underneath the Feet of Mothers. [Mizan Al-Hikmah, H 22691]

 

88.  Imam Ali (pbuh): Gluttony increases anger. [Ghurar al-Hikam: 800]

90.  Messenger of God (pbuhahf): Beware of the believer's insight; He watches with the light of God, and speaks with the grace of God. [Kanz al-Ummal: 30731]

 

91.  Hazrat Fatima (pbuh): Always be in the service of mother because heaven is under the feet of mothers. [Kanz Al-Ummal, H. 45443]

 

92.  Imam Sadiq (pbuh): One of the examples of humility is to greet whomever you meet. [Bihar Al-Anwar: 75/120/9]

 

93.  Imam Sadiq (pbuh): There is much goodness in women. [Manlayahdarul faqih, Vol 3, p. 385]

 

94.   Messenger of God (pbuhahf): God's anger is severe towards a person who inflicts injustice on one who does not have any helper other than God. [Kanz al-Ummal, Hadith 7605].

 

95.  Hazrat Fatima (pbuh): The best of you are those who are gentlest towards people and respect their women more. [Dalai al-Imamah, p. 76]

 

96.  Imam Al-Baqir (pbuh): When his father, Imam Ali Zayn al-Abidin (pbuh) was approaching death, he hugged him close to his chest and said, ‘O my son, I am advising you of the same thing that my father advised me in his will when he was approaching death, and the same thing that he said his father advised him - O my son! Beware of oppressing one who has no helper other than Allah.’ [Al Kafi, v. 2, p. 231, no. 5]

 

97.  Prophet of God (pbuhahf): Whenever a scholar dies in the state of learning, he is regarded as a martyr. [Al-Targhib wal-Tarhib: 1/97/16]

 

98.  Prophet (pbuhahf): When afflictions surround you like the darkness of the night refer to Quran... [Usul al-Kafi, vol. 2, P.599]

 

99. Narrated By Ibn ‘Abbas : When Allah’s Apostle was on his death-bed and in the house there were some people among whom was ‘Umar bin Al-Khattab, the Prophet said, “Come, let me write for you a statement after which you will not go astray.” ‘Umar said, “The Prophet is seriously ill and you have the Qur’an; so the Book of Allah is enough for us.” The people present in the house differed and quarreled. Some said “Go near so that the Prophet may write for you a statement after which you will not go astray,” while the others said as Umar said. When they caused a hue and cry before the Prophet, Allah’s Apostle said, “Go away!” Narrated ‘Ubaidullah: Ibn ‘Abbas used to say, “It was very unfortunate that Allah’s Apostle was prevented from writing that statement for them because of their disagreement and noise.”   [Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 70, Hadith Number 573.]

 

100.  Prophet Muhammad (pbuhahf): Knowledge is a treasury, the key to which is the question, so ask questions, and Allah will have mercy on you for verily four people are rewarded for that question: The questioner, the speaker, the listener, and the one that admires them. [Tuhaf al-Uqul: 41]

 

101.  Imam Al-Hadi (pbuh): He who obeys the Creator is not afraid of people's anger. [Bihar Al-Anwar: 78/366/2]

 

102.  Imam Al-Baqir (pbuh): Sustenance has been fixed and divided, and the bounty, which belongs to God, has been determined from sunrise to dawn for which He said, “And ask God of His grace.” Then Imam (pbuh) said: And the seeking of sustenance by the remembrance of God at the time of rising of the sun is more effective than from traveling or working for it. [Bihar Al-Anwar: 85/323/11]

 

103.  Prophet (pbuhahf): “An hour of contemplation is superior to an entire year of worship.” [Bihar Anwar: 20/326/71]

 

104.  Imam Ali (pbuh): Wisdom is an instinct that is enhanced by knowledge and experience. [Ghurar Al-Hikam: 1717.

 

105.  Imam Ali (pbuh): Perhaps a word of expression is more effective than an attack. [Nahj al-Balagha: Saying 394]
