Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe? [Quran, Verse
Imam Ali (peace be upon him): Guard against the cold at its beginning, and welcome it at its end; for it affects bodies as it affects trees. Its beginning scorches, and its end brings forth greenery.
Imam Jaafar al-Sadiq (peace be upon him): "Divine decree (taqdir) is determined on the 19th night, confirmed (ibram) on the 21st night, and finally enacted (imza) on the 23rd night." [Al-Kafi, Vol. 4,
And from his (Imam Ali, peace be upon him) will to Hasan and Husain (peace be upon them both): Be an enemy to the oppressor and a helper to the oppressed. [Letter 47, Nahjul Balagha]
Only Allah is your Guardian and His Apostle and those who believe, those who establish prayers and pay the poor-rate while they bow. [Quran, Verse 55, Surah Maidah]
